Here is your opportunity to join 300 Venturer's from NER Area 2 and even Venturer's from other Areas to once again experience an amazing Venturing event. Besides the typical higher adventure events, this years Apex will feature the opportunity to go Mountain Boarding and to take a ride in a Hot Air Balloon (need to submit additional waiver which is attached).

Venturers from Suffolk County Council take part in the NER Area 2 Venturing Dude Ranch Trip

Forty Venturers from Crews 349 (Nesconset), 777 (Ronkonkoma), 631 (Manorville), 2 (Brentwood) and 25 (Brentwood) took part in a fantastic weekend at the Malibu Dude Ranch in Milford, Pennsylvania during the weekend of March 7-9. At the Northeast Region Area 2 Venturing event, the participants (along with Venturers from other Councils in the Area) went horseback riding, swimming, and took part in rifle and shotgun shooting. Other activities included: ice skating, archery, hayrides, bonfires, team building games, and even Karaoke. All are excited about taking part in the next NER Area 2 event on May 2-4 at Camp Sequassen in Connecticut. At that even, besides the normal advanced activities, there will be mountain boarding and even a hot air balloon.ILSCILSCILSC

Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews (ILSC) Sponsored by Trailblazer District Venturers

During the weekend of February 28th through March 1st, Fourteen Venturer's from six different Crews and two Councils completed the Venturing ILSC Leadership Development. Friday night was filled with team building games and other activities. Participants stayed overnight at St. Joseph's Church in Ronkonkoma and after a hearty breakfast, the training course commenced. Modules included Unit Organization, Tools of the Trade, and Leadership and Teamwork. The group also learned about how Venturing works outside the crew. Trailblazer District Venturing sponsored the training course, with Venturer's from Crews 777, 631, 272, 728 participating. They also had a few guest Venturer's from Theodore Roosevelt Council, Crews 577 and 130. Trailblazer District has 11 Venturing Crews.
