On June 6, 2013, the annual presentation of the Matinecock District Good Deed Award will be made to NYS Assemblyman, Hon. Andrew P. Raia.
Each year the council serves over 12,000 youth members throughout Suffolk County with the citizenship training, character development and personal fitness program of the Boy Scouts of America. In the greater Huntington area the Scouts have had steady membership increases for the last three years. Averages of 50 boys a year have met the requirements to be an Eagle Scout and thousands of service hours have been performed to benefit the community.
If you would like to purchase a membership, journal ad or ticket to the event please contact Elaine Gray at 631-924-7000, extension 127 or email Elaine at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Good Deed Award will be presented on June 6, 2013 at the Northport Yacht Club from 6:00pm - 10:00pm. Tickets are $125 per person or $200 per couple. Must purchase ticket by May 30, 2013.

Ready for another fun-filled Scouting activity, but this time without the Scouts? Then be sure to attend the Matinecock District's annual Recognition Dinner on May 23rd. This is a non-uniform event to give Scouters and spouses the opportunity for a social gathering and to recognize many in our midst for some outstanding contributions to Scouting. Please follow the instructions on the registration form.

All adults working with Scouts should have Youth Protection Training (YPT). This vital training is important as a main element of safety for your unit. YPT is available online and can be accessed through the link found in the Training section of this web site. If you take online training, please ensure that you spell your name correctly and finalize your training by pressing the "verify submission" icon on the bottom of the last page.
